The exact package depends on the project and agreed service. A quantity-only assignment may not include pricing, while a full estimate may combine the takeoff, cost workbook, markups and qualification notes.
Before work begins, we confirm the required file types, structure, units, divisions, alternates and pricing source. This avoids sending an impressive-looking report that does not fit the contractor’s actual bidding process.
Estimate workbook
An Excel-based file may organize labor, material, equipment or other agreed cost components by item, trade, division, assembly or location.
Quantity takeoff
Measured quantities are structured in agreed units and categories so the contractor can review or apply internal pricing.
Drawing markups
Color-coded measurement references may be provided where applicable to help trace quantities back to the plans.
Assumptions and exclusions
Notes identify the basis of the estimate, known limitations, interpreted scope and work not included in the assignment.

When an illustrative sample is published, it will explain its units, quantities, pricing basis and limitations instead of presenting unexplained figures as real current pricing.

Do all projects include the same files?
No. Deliverables depend on whether the assignment is quantity-only, pricing-focused or a broader estimating package.
Are Excel files editable?
Excel-based deliverables are generally intended for contractor review and adjustment, subject to the agreed format.
Will you publish my drawings as a sample?
No confidential client material will be published without owner approval and appropriate anonymization.
Are sample prices current market prices?
Illustrative prices will not be presented as current project pricing. The project-specific pricing basis will always be explained.
